Philippe Grangeon appointed Corporate Communications Director of the Capgemini Group
Paris, 14 April 2005 - Philippe Grangeon, 47 years old, has been appointed Corporate Communications Director of the Capgemini Group, replacing Florence Mairal who has left the company.

He maintains the role he has held since his arrival in the Group in April 2004, that of “Directeur Délégué” working alongside Paul Hermelin, Group CEO. He is also a member of the Group Executive Committee.
From 2000 to 2004 Philippe Grangeon was Chief Executive Officer of the Mediapost Group*, where he led the merger and acquisition of their principal competitor, Delta Diffusion. Prior to this he was Deputy Director of the Office d’Annonces (Yellow Pages) in charge of strategy and communication, and Communications Director of the French post office group, La Poste.
As adviser within for various ministers, Philippe Grangeon has contributed to some significant strategy transitions in both the public and private domains of the services sector in France, in particular the split of the government-led Postes et Télécommunications (PTT) into two companies, La Poste and France Telecom, as well as within the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry where he worked on the coordination of the government’s communication about the introduction of the Euro and Year 2000 and the initial public offering of a number of state-owned companies.
